Our DVD of the Little Orchard Railway

At last!

Many of you have asked for extra information

about the building of the LOR - Well here it is

From the cutting out of the first turfs to

running a steam miniature railway

About the DVD

(Written Nov '07)

The Little Orchard Railway Website has only

been in existence for a short time, but the

building of the railway started more than

three years ago.

This is not a how to build your own railway

film although the observant watcher will be

able to see a lot of the methods and tools

which were used during the railways building.

This is more a film for the armchair engineer

than the railway builder; it is the story of the

hard work and dedication of the friends who

built it and also some of the fun that was had

by them during this time.

Also there is footage of one of the soggiest

Grand Opening days you can imagine (although

this has made some lovely smoke and steam,

video scenes).

We have added a little of one of the drier open

days that we had this year, so that you can

see the engines running in sunshine as well;

well it is only fair.

The video lasts nearly 40 minutes

Bunch of Amateurs

Before building this railway we had no training,

only a little previous experience

Before making this website we had no training

a very amateur DVD production
