Our first public open day was on the 16th of September 2007 We wanted to raise funds for the Village Hall |
178 tickets were sold and with donations we made £91.75 on ticket sales and sold teas and coffees which made £13.25 | So on the following evening at a meeting of the Parish Council we were all very proud to present the Village Hall committee with a cheque for £105.00 |
| The day was beautiful (which was another first for us) |
| The day began with the guys setting up the equipment and the girls, having made us tea, looking at wedding photo's |
| | It is Russell's wedding photo's the girls are looking at |
| Luke is now old enough to start to worry about weddings |
| Brian, having been married for years ignores it all probably very wise |
| | New staff Callum, ticket clippers at the ready |
| New staff Fraser, with his station master's hat on! |
| Callum and Fraser ran Fullerton Wood Station for the day... |
| ... and had a small reward for all their hard work |
| | Glenda and the trucks are waiting for a turn on duty |
| Kevin and Eleanor take our first guests |
| See who you know (I've spotted Hilda and Ken) ... |
| ...if you wish, if you have photo's of the day you can email them to me and I'll add them to this photo gallery |
| Peter Scott of the Branchline Society had missed their special open day and so he came to our open day and thoroughly enjoyed himself He also kindly sent me these two pictures |
| He said the railway was "possibly" unique and he should know as he has visited most railways in the UK, so that is a massive compliment - Thanks Peter |
